Good and Bad About Blogging!

Over all blogging is a good way to get a point across to the media or right multiple opinions on subjects or news and having people comment and give their opinion on it.Or you can tell other people what to be aware of when on the internet. Like what websites are good to get information from, or the best gaming wed site etc. But i don’t think i really like it because i would forget about it all the time. And maybe if i had to blog about something that has impacted my life recently or throughout the weeks, then it would be a little more interesting.. Or things that could impact other peoples life also. Maybe if I experienced something bad and i wouldn’t want someone else to experience it then i could write a blog about it. But since it had to be something about the internet, it wasn’t very thrilling. I also ran out of things to write about. I would have to think really hard just to write a blog about that made these blogs really time-consuming!!

But at least i know how to use a blog and what it’s used for.. Before i had to do blogs i had no idea what they were or what they were used for.. And you could pretty much write one anywhere.. Like:

Internet and Location

If you want to know where a specific place is you can just look it up on the internet. If you don’t know how to get there, guess what you can print a map from the internet. You can pretty much get a map to anywhere from the internet. It will not just give you a map and directions to how to get there it will give you an accurate mileage and the length of time it takes you to get there. It also will ask where you would like to start from. So you can get there from where ever you may be. Say you didn’t want to go there you just wanted to mail something, that’s not a problem either. It will give the exact address of the location. This is one website that i find useful when getting direction to an exact location and that web site is www.mapquest.com. It will give you a printed map of your location and then exact direction. Where as it tells you when to turn or turn right or left or how many miles until your next turn. The internet and Location work hand and hand and is guarantee to be successful.

How Distracting Internet May Be

Well it just took me four hours to re-type my english research paper because i kept going back and forth between my paper and Facebook. I would start talking to people on Facebook and forget about my paper because talking to people or looking at pictures or new feeds people post are way more interesting than typing my paper. Even though i know that i have to get my paper done and that the research paper is more important it’s just i got too bored just typing. Then when i go to Facebook i get carried away and talk to every and anyone doing everything and anything possible not to back to my paper.. It’s a bad habit to have them open at the same time.. I do it all the time and that’s why im up late doing homework. I try to consider myself as a multitasker but deep down inside i know im not when it comes to homework or Facebook.. Facebook would win every time.. The internet can be very distracting when you have two things opened at once and one interest you more than the other! Bad experience. You could lose sleep because you are up way too late trying to finish or you could not do it/ or finish it.. Coming from a person who has done this multiple times don’t do this it’s a bad habit. It becomes addicting sometimes i think!!

Wireless Internet

Wireless Internet has a big impact on a lot of people and mostly those who are away from home all the time and can’t use their home computer. Basically what wireless inter is and does is you can use the internet anywhere you want as long as you have either a wireless router or connect off of someone elses router. For college students they can bring their lap top to school and go off the schools routers to get internet anywhere in the geographic area! In my opinion a lot more people use wireless internet than a normal router. If you were a foreign exchange student or anyone who couldn’t or wouldn’t want to pay for internet or a computer at home all they had to do is pay for the lap top and just use it around Delta or any college i would think. The point is, wireless internet could or does save many of people money!

Shopping Online

I have always been a fan of online shopping every since i became a teenager/young adult. When stores don’t have what you want, then you can go online and most likely they will have it. The thing that i like is that sometimes depending on the item and the store you get it from the item/clothing can be cheaper than what it appears to be in store. When you have a mall like the Bay City Mall you are forced to shop online because the mall barley has anything. I really don’t buy my clothes online because sometimes they might not fit right or i want them to fit a certain way. But more in likely i will buy my shoes from online because they have a bigger variety and the Bay City Mall doesn’t have good show stores that i prefer. And why would i drive to Saginaw and waste gas when i can shop online and not waste any gas and Saginaw might not have what I’m looking for anyway. Online to me is a good way for shopping and i can do it when it’s convent for me!

Online Classes

When i was in high school, i took and online class and it was the worst class i have ever had. What made it even worst is that it was a foreign language/spanish class. Can you imagine how that went? Not very good. The problem was that i didn’t know how to pronounce some words and i didn’t know how to say them. It was very difficult to take a foreign language class online! I had to read absolutely everything and follow it step by step, one wrong step you had to start over and do it again. My spanish online class made me hate/dislike reading even more than what i already did! The good thing about it was, if I didn’t finish things at school, then I was able to access it on my computer at home! What i would like about taking an online class now that I’m in college is that i can do it from home and wouldn’t have to come into school. Where in high school you had to come into school to do it! But that still would be enough for me to take an online class again! I will never do it again!

Mothers, Fathers, Students etc could use the internet to achieve a degree whether it’s the GED or a college degree. More likely online degrees are for people who can not attend school because their either a stay at home Mother nurturing their children or a father who doesn’t have financial means or for students who don’t have consistent transportation to a college. Online degrees are also for people who want to better themselves in education in order to find a better job and to secure their economic future. Checking Your Local Area For Sex Offender and Child Predators

If anyone is convicted a of a sex crime such as, solicitation, statutory rape, rape etc they have to go online and list themselves, with their name and photo, under the sex offenders list in the radius of where they are living. The reason behind this is so people living in the same area are aware that there is a sex offender or sex predator living near them and to make sure that they keep their kids and family safe. Peer Pressure

Just say NO!! Peer pressure has a big impact on teens lives, and not just teens adults and children also but mostly teens! Peer pressure can go from, pressuring you to drink, smoking etc. to having unprotected sex, rape etc. That’s is why we have to do a better job on choosing the people we hang with and carefully picking our friends.. Statistics show that:

ALCOHOl:

Maryland Underage Drinking Coalition reports teenagers who try alcohol do so around the age of 13.
The percentage of adolescents who took their first drink before 13 is 32.2% according to Adolescent Substance Abuse Knowledge Base.

DRUGS:
